Macros, or Macronutrients, include proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, and provide all of the calories (energy) your body uses throughout the day. While bodybuilders have been counting macros for years, this method is now starting to be used more frequently by average people to gain muscle, lose fat, and feel better. Counting macros is thought to be more effective than counting calories because different macros (the source of calories) have different effects on your body in different combinations.
